We do not currently provide classes appropriate for Children less than 18 years of age. If, and when we begin to provide classes for children under the age of 18, then the parent/guardian will have to provide written consent before any services commence. |
The Reformer is a machine, like a sliding bed attached to springs, to provide resistance. It helps to reform muscular imbalances, tone, strengthen and lengthen the body without adding bulk, for a fantastic all over body workout. Unlike mat work, reformer Pilates allows you to do footwork on the bar which is essential in this day and age. |
Firstly check in with your GP, and then contact us for a consultation. Pilates is generally used as a rehabilitation therapy so we should be able to ease the pain or the discomfort to some degree, with strength and rehabilitation exercises to follow. |
You should check with your doctor before doing any kind of exercise during pregnancy. However, Pilates tends to be particularly suitable for pregnant women, since it is a low-impact form of exercise that strengthens the back, stomach and pelvic floor muscles. |
Babies are allowed during Mum & Baby classes on Tuesdays. Kids are only allowed on Saturdays as long as someone is here to take full responsibility for the kid during the class. We are a family-oriented studio – if you have a problem, please feel free to approach us. |
